Ms. Sandra Meyrick is an experienced lawyer and committed community volunteer. Her work with the Ontario Racing Commission has helped to shape the direction of horse racing arbitration. After graduating with an Honours BA from the University of Western Ontario, Ms. Meyrick traveled internationally to obtain her MSc at Oxford University and the London School of Economics. Ms. Meyrick returned to Canada to complete her law degree at the University of Windsor. She obtained her Juris Doctor at the University of Michigan. She has been a member in good standing with the Law society of Upper Canada since 1990. Throughout her professional career Ms. Meyrick has served the Province of Ontario in various adjudicative roles. She has developed an expertise in administrative law and governance. Ms. Meyrick practices privately in the area of matrimonial litigation / mediation and continues to advocate for vulnerable members of the community, acting on behalf of the Public Guardian and Trustee as well as the Office of the Children’s Lawyer. Sandra Meyrick has served as a Dispute Resolutions Officer at the Superior Court of Ontario since the programs inception. Ms. Meyrick was appointed to the ORC as a Commissioner and Adjudicator from August 2013 to August 2015. Sandra Meyrick joins the Horse Racing Appeal Panel as the Vice Chair.
