Dan McMahon

Dan graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1974 and was called to the Bar in 1976. He was in private practice from 1977 until his retirement in 2019. During that period, his practice was primarily focused on the representation of parties appearing before the criminal courts, along with regular appearances before the Ontario Racing Commission and, subsequently, the Horse Racing Appeal Panel. It was during this time that he came into contact with both the legislation in the horse racing industry and many of the different participants in both the standardbred and thoroughbred industries.
