Mr. Bruce Murray has extensive managerial experience and a lengthy history of involvement with the horse racing sector. Mr. Murray dedicated twenty-three years to the Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG), where he was Director of Publicity for the Ontario Jockey Club and subsequently held positions as Sr. Manager of Media Communications and the Director of Events and Marketing. For his last seven years at WEG, Mr. Murray was the Vice President of Standardbred Racing. Mr. Murray has a Radio & Television Arts Diploma from Seneca College and a Business Administration Diploma from Wilfrid Laurier University. Mr. Murray was a member of the Board of Directors of Standardbred Canada, and also served on the Ontario Racing Commission’s Industry Advisory Committee. Currently, Mr. Murray co-owns a property management company based in Guelph. Mr. Murray joins the Horse Racing Appeal Panel as a part-time Member.
